Norwegian artist creates unique realistic dolls that give you goosebumps
Seeing these pictures, at first sight I said: “What admirable babies!”, but then realized that they are not babies. They are dolls… Oh, how can the dolls be so realistic…
They are made by 75-year-old artist Sissel Bjorstad from Norway . She makes them by hand.
Actually, only hair of dolls is natural. The eyes are glass, the body is soft fabric, the face, legs and face are made of polymer clay.
Children inspired the woman to create such dolls, when she worked as a teacher of elementary school. Now she creates her children. She makes about 10 dolls annually.
Sissel creates the dolls by looking at pictures of real children. Every detail is made by hand.
Surely, people don’t play with them. The dolls are for sale. One costs around ten thousand dollars.
It’s unbelievable but these babies are handmade. Do you like them?
