The twin girls who were born with different skin colors are already 25 years old
It is commonly assumed that twins are almost identical, bearing a striking resemblance to each other. Even when they differ in appearance, they still share some facial features that signify their familial bond. However, in some rare instance, nature can play a trick. Such was the case for these twins, who were frequently doubted about their relationship and had to carry their birth certificate as evidence of their kinship.
Lucy and Mary were born to a British couple, Donna and Vince Aylmer, in 1997. Upon laying eyes on her newborn twins for the first time, Donna was struck with speechlessness as she observed their striking dissimilarities. Lucy possessed curly red hair and blue eyes, and had a fair complexion, whereas Mary’s hair was chestnut brown, her eyes brown, and her skin was dark. Interestingly, the odds of such twins-two different races-being born is one in 500. This makes the Aylmer sisters truly unique.
Upon further revelation, it was discovered that the girls’ mother originated from Jamaica, while their fatherr’s ancestry can be traced back to Britain. The Aylmer family has other children besides the twins, all of whom have inherited their mother’s darker complexion. In contrast, Lucy has relatively lighter skin, even lighter than her father’s.
Like most siblings, the Aylmer sisters have distinct personalities. Lucy prefers to wear dark clothing and bold makeup, whereas Mary has a predilection for hues that are gentle and subdued.
Despite their differences, the girls share a common characteristic: they have curly hair. But Lucy doesn’t like this gift of nature, so she always smoothes it out.
The blond sister is modest and shy, while Mary is outgoing, cheerful, and upbeat.
Although, they have contrasting characteristics, the Aylmer sisters share a strong bond with each other. They deeply love and care for each other, and can’t imagine what life would be like if they weren’t twins.
