In 2005, Derrick founded Animal Ortho Care, a company that creates prostheses for all kinds of animals, from pets to zoo animals.

He has clients from all over the world, and he even works with animals like elephants remotely.

To make the prostheses, the company sends a kit to the animal owner to determine the limb shape.

Based on the measurements, they create personalized prostheses using special materials.

Derrick’s work has been recognized, and he is considered a hero.

He was featured on Animal Planet’s Heroes Among Us, showcasing his work in Arizona and a trip to Africa, where he helped an elephant named Jabu.
