A truck driver found a small aardvark in his car while getting ready for work. The animal was all alone, so the kind driver took it to the car and called vet Erika de Jager for help.

Erika was excited to treat such a unique creature, and she was confident that the aardvark would recover soon. She put a lot of effort into caring for the tiny animal, feeding it and helping it gain weight.

Later, the aardvark found a home at a shelter and became best friends with two friendly dogs. Having companions was important for the aardvark’s emotional well-being, and it enjoyed playing and spending time with its new friends.

It even slept in their bed and felt like a real dog.

After five months, the aardvark was fully healed and in good health. It was released back into the wild where it could live happily and peacefully.

However, it kept returning to visit its canine friends and the kind rescuers who had helped it.
