“She Cries During The Procedure”: Shannen Doherty Scared Her Fans With Sad Footage From The Hospital!
The actress known for her role in the TV series “Charmed,” Shannen Doherty, has shared some sad news with her fans.
Since 2020, Doherty has been battling stage 4 cancer, and now she has revealed that she has brain metastases. She posted a video on her Instagram page, showing her undergoing radiotherapy.
She later shared another video from the medical center, wearing a mask used during brain irradiation.
“On January 5th, my CT scan showed metastases in my brain. The video from yesterday showed me trying on the mask used during brain radiation. On January 12th, I had my first round of radiation. It’s obvious that I’m scared. I’m claustrophobic and a lot has happened in my life. I’m lucky to have great doctors. But this fear… It’s embarrassing… This is what cancer can look like,” Doherty said.
To give some background, Shannen Doherty was diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2015.
She filed a lawsuit against her former manager, claiming that her health insurance was mishandled, leading to improper treatment and the cancer spreading to her lymphatic system.
She underwent a mastectomy in May 2016, followed by chemotherapy and radiotherapy. She went into remission in April 2017.
However, in 2020, Doherty announced on Good Morning America that her cancer had returned and she was now in stage four. She also revealed that she received the diagnosis while filming the Beverly Hills sequel.
